A proposal for an arts incubator put forth by Alderman Dale Martin in 1985. The proposal calls for the incubator to be located in a building south of Queen Street West in the John Street area, and to include affordable studio space to visual artists selected by a jury of their peers. The proposal calls to attention the need for such space in downtown Toronto and the expected benefit to the arts community.
